For my Senior Illustration Thesis at Parsons School of Design, I created a Visual Development/Concept Art Book. I wanted my project to be personal to me and simultaneously reflect my interest as an illustrator - World Building. This project was inspired by different elements from Slavic Mythology.
My project is called - Forest Society as it unravels a story about the protagonist - Kira and her best friend firefly Glint. They get separated from their family due to sudden natural disasters that turn neighboring villages into ruins. Kira and Glint must flee their home in order to survive.
After two weeks of traveling they discover The MisFits Village that was formed by all the other survivors. Kira and Glint must go on a quest in order to return home and solve the true cause of the floods and earthquakes in order to prevent the disasters from happening again.
